John Hyde, a photographer from Alaska who has 20 years of experience in still and motion picture photography has a fantastic portfolio on his website titled “Wild Things Photography”. I LOVE his shots, if I could only use one word to describe his works, I would use this simple word: beautiful.
So what drives him in taking so many wonderful pictures? Is it the nature environment of Alaska? This is what John Hyde says:
Wild Things Photography was born from my appreciation of all things wild and by an inherent quest to explore the nature world around me.
I can’t imagine anything else that would provide the satisfaction I receive from sharing my works with others, opening windows that help enrich their lives and appreciation for the intrinsic value of wild things and wild places.
Students always ask me what the “perfect picture” is and that is simple: the perfect picture is the one that drives you to make another. Each image should be viewed as a stepping stone to the next. That is the philosophy that drives my creative vision.
