An SMS message sent from a concerned family friend saved the life of nine-year old Yau Jia Xin, who successfully underwent heart surgery this week. Yau needed O-negative blood and a text message sent by the family friend passed from one person to the next, until those with the right blood type donated the necessary three pints.
