How Expensive Is The World's Most Expensive City?

This was a little surprising to me. According to Mercer Human Resource Consulting’s Global Cost-of-Living Survey 2006, Moscow has replaced Tokyo as the world’s most expensive city while Asuncion in Paraguay remains the least expensive city.

What pushes Moscow to the top of the most expensive city list is its realty price. Cost of almost everything else in Moscow is cheaper than other top ten cities in the list. In Moscow, you can still spend only 15 rubles (US$0.60) for a subway pass which lets you travel across the city, you can also find low cost bars; you can also find set meals with three dishes for only 150 rubles (US$6), a bottle of vodka for only 200 rubles (US$7.5), and a cab which will brings you all around the city for only 200 rubles or less.
