I received the link for the Flock Developer Preview 0.5pre last week and, I love it! It’s pretty much like Firefox, but in a way, it’s unique with some of its features and user interface.

I just installed IE7 Beta1 few hours ago. As expected there’s no surprises in the new IE. Phishing filter is probably the only feature that’s new and no other browsers have implemented it yet. Beta 1 is pretty much an end user version even though it’s released for the developers as Microsoft claimed on their website…

Mozilla just released Firefox 1.0.6 to fix the bug in 1.0.5, this is what their release note says:

Firefox 1.0.6 is a stability update. We recommend that users upgrade to this latest version. Here’s what’s new in Firefox 1.0.6:

• Restore API compatibility for extensions and web applications that did not work in Firefox 1.0.5.

Hopefully version 1.1 with new Gecko will come out next month :)

Which is the best browser on Windows? Is it Firefox, Mozilla, or Opera? I have been a big fan of Firefox, however I’m a bit disappointed to see that Firefox isn’t doing any better than the latest version of Mozilla, and never did better than Opera in performance.

forevergeek.com has a useful guide on speeding up Firefox for broadband users. basically the hidden config settings allow you to set the browser to request more data than it usually does. This guide is applicable to K-Meleon too.
